Day 4: Kind Hearts Day!

Ethiopia Day 4 Morning update: Going to Kind Hearts school today to deliver the books for the library! We will also hand out the goody bags that the students provided the treats for before we left. We are so excited to see the progress of the well that is being built by SJC. What an amazing day! Still spotty internet- on and off within a minute! Will hopefully post soon. We are so grateful for what God has done through the past year- he is an amazing God!!!

Ethiopia Day 3: Morning update

Update Day 3 Ethiopia: Via text from Joey- "Went to Beza International Church this morning--amazing! Beautiful service with praise music and great sermon! Moved to the new guest house :) Headed to soccer/street ministry now! Everyone is doing really well, we have a great team!"



Update on Soccer/Street Ministry game: Ethiopia, 1-USA, 0! Took the street kids out to lunch afterwards-- awesome afternoon!

Ethiopia: End of Day 2 update

Update from Ethiopia on the end of Day 2: Still no internet! Joey is sending texts (hopefully Mark won't get mad with the text bill! haha) Her update: "Internet still down....grrrr! Great day, lots of fun, group is having a ball together- lots of laughing! Stephen's 18 bday--great fun!" I am sure when the internet and electricity are stable they will share pics and full updates with us. Tomorrow they will go to church in the morning then to the orphanages. Keep praying!

Ethiopia: Day 2

Update from the Ethiopia group: The internet has been down in Addis so they will send more details as soon as it is up and running. From Joey via text Day 2: "Everyone feels much better after a good nights sleep-- today toured Entoto Mountain and the palace of Melnik and Empress TiTu. Going shopping at a bazaar then celebrating with a birthday party for Stephen who is turning 18 today! Will post more when the internet is up" They are having a great time and are ready to start visiting schools and orphanages on Sunday. Please keep praying for them this week. Hopefully pics will follow as well!

Here We Go!

Today we begin the first leg of our trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia! Our team of 14 amazing people will travel with 32 totes of supplies for Kind Hearts, Trees of Glory and many other organizations.

Here are the students from St. Joseph Christian who are a part of our team, including Mr. Danny Maggart! We will post when we land in Addis--Friday morning!
